1. Alphabetical search
Everest Dictionary offers the possibility to search a word using an alphabetical index. Such a searching is very useful in the case of a dictionary for which the other 4 searching methods are not appropriate.
To exemplify the use of this facility, we load the English Medical dictionary following the step 4 from the tutorial. Because the dictionary is English-English we don't have the possibility to choose the searching between two languages. The Show Letters button marked out will print the English alphabet. The selection of a letter is done by clicking on it.
In the picture below it is presented the searching mode using an alphabetical index.
After pushing K letter, it will be displayed the records from the dictionary beginning with this letter. For instance we will search the word Kartagener marked out in the following picture. The searching is performed by executing a double click on this word.
Note: For search kartagener syndrome, it will be selected the whole phrase using the mouse. The searching will begin at the release of the mouse.
